The Mixed Museum’s Director receives a Women’s History Network Award

‘Indian Princess Marries Englishman: Nursing Home Romance’. Daily Mirror, 27 February 1914.

We are pleased to announce that our Director, Dr Chamion Caballero, has received an Independent Researcher award from Women’s History Network.

Dr Caballero is one of four independent scholars to be granted the award. She will be researching the early 20th century marriages of Princess Pratibha and Sudhira Devi who married brothers Lionel and Alan Mander, the sons of a prominent and wealthy Wolverhampton family. The project findings on the Devi sisters and their marriages will eventually be featured on The Mixed Museum’s website as well as on the Women’s History Network blog.
